About

I graduated Southside High School in 1988. Go Panthers!!! I was a member of the marching band and tennis team. I marched visual ensemble (rifle) and played clarinet during concert season. I went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 1989-2004. While I was in college, I worked for Macy’s, Things Remebered, Rich’s, and I have even been Santa’s Helper and the Easter Bunny (@Western Hills Mall many m oons ago). Once I finished my degree I left retail and began my first teaching assignment at Fairfield High School. I then moved to Shelby County and taught at Pelham High School. My husband then decided that the Clay area would be a better place for our family (HWY 280-119 traffic-fun). So I came to Clay-Chalkville High School in 2003. During my teaching career I have taught Consumer Math, Applied Algebra, Algebra I & II, Intro to Algebra, geometry and Honors Geometry. I play tennis out of Trussville Racquet Club regularly, but I have played for teams out of Pelham and Brook Highland. As a teacher, I have been a cheerleader sponsor, math team sponsor, prom coordinator, boys and girls tennis coach, class officer sponsor, vertical team chairperson, etc…….

I love working with students and my faculty. We work together, play together, and create together. Together we all make a well working, fun loving educational machine ; ).
